Buddy OCTOBER 11, 1991 - FEBRUARY 20, 1994 Buddy was rescued
from an Animal Shelter on May 26th, 1993. His former owners moved to a new home and he had
been kept on a chain, outside, 24 hours a day as they felt this home was too nice to have
a dog in it!! One day he escaped and was eventually caught and impounded. The Animal
Control Officer wanted Buddy euthanized because he felt the dog was mean, but Buddy was
just frightened and needed to be socialized and loved. I was allowed to adopt him after
convincing the Officer that he would be taken out of the city and away from the general
public. He lived a happy year on our nice country acreage until his health failed and he
made his final journey to Rainbow Bridge. T Smith |

Bunky Bunky was
a give away in the local paper and in a week's time she went through 3 homes. She
was 'smelly' and my vet sent her latest owner to me. I took a look at her and
decided we should take her to the vet. Her checkup was not a good one, she was
diagnosed with mange and treated at the vet's office for a week. We then
transported her to Eleni in Blaine, WA who took her to her vet and Bunky then has surgery
to remove a new tumor on her face. The test results were benign and she then went
new home. I made every attempt to locate her original owner and breeder. I was
able to find out the breeder was a puppy mill and chose not to pursue that route any
longer and her original owners were never able to be found. She is happily loved
now. |

Missy By
referal, I was contacted by some people in Oregon with a 5 yr old Lhasa Apso they acquired
from a Pet Store when she was a puppy and were no longer able to keep her. We drove to Oregon early in the morning to
meet them and pick her up, then we drove to Blaine WA near the Canada border to deliver
her to her 'foster' home who in turn delivered her to her new home, where she is well
loved and cared for. |

Sasha was
acquired from a young couple with 4 children. She was well loved by the children and
the wife, but the husband became abusive towards the wife and dogs in the family and when
the wife sought 'safe' keeping in a shelter with her children, she was unable to take her
beloved Lhasa with her. I was immediately contacted and allowed access into the
family home to retrieve Sasha. She was bathed, shaved (due to matting), flea
treated, wormed and spayed a few days later with her vaccinations done as well. The
next day, she went to her new home in Lynden, WA through the wonderful help of Eleni in
Blaine, WA and Marci Neil of Oak Harbor who assisted in transporting of this little girl
to her new home. |
Starrah |
"Starrah"
has been happily adopted by a wonderful family in Western Washington, spayed and
living as a housepet with her new family. Here is an update from her new owners:
I just wanted you to know that Starrah has settled right in. It took her about an
hour at our home to decide that it was HERS. This was after a very thorough
examination, of course. The kids and I adore her and she is very aware of it. She
soaks it up like it is her just due - as it truly is. She has her pick of what bed
to sleep on and is evidently making the rounds -- T got the first night, I got
the second. I assume that my son will get tonight, if she feels that he sleeps
quietly enough. (D sleeps on a top bunk, so he isn't going to get a turn.) She is
eating well, and seems to be in VERY good spirits. She is even playing ball.
You just have NO idea how happy you have made all of us. God Bless You!! |
| Profit |
Profit
is happily living in Canada with his new family in a townhouse. Their prior pet was
tragically killed while being walked on a leash in a crosswalk by an
irresponsible/careless/heartless truck driver running a red light. Profit has brought some
light to their home and his housebreaking is coming along great, he has been neutered,
making a great difference. |

Happily
living ever after in her new home in Washington state, spoiled with
everything she could ever ask for. She is an only pet so there is no
worries for her, just alot of love from all the family members |
| Julie |
This
is probably the sweetest Lhasa Apso I have ever met. Her housebreaking was a only a
minor set back, her personality took over and her new home has graciously accepted her as
a family member to be loved. With patience she is coming along in her new home with
her housebreaking. |
| Bear |
The
original owners who turned Bear in to us, took him back and his parents have taken him
home. The parents had originally given Bear to their kids. |
