ARROWHEADED WORM (TOXASCARIS LEONINA)

There ascarid worms are found world wide infecting dogs and cats, with
mice as their intermediate hosts.  Symptoms are typical of worm infestation
and include a "pot-bellied" appearance, occasional diarrhea and general
failure to thrive.  Fortunately there are no public health concerns and
effective treatments are available.

Piperazine, dichlorvos, pyrantel pamoate, milbemycin, fenbendazole,
febantel/praziquantel and others do a very good job of getting rid of these
worms.
